Two bed town house close to the beach

Along the west coast of southern Italy, perched above the Tyrrhenian Sea, the old town of Scalea dominates the landscape. The town dates back to the late 900’s but has become one of Calabria’s premier beach resorts.

Home to just under 11,000 people, Scalea swells with tourists during the summer providing 6km of beach for holidaymakers. The old town is a maze of narrow streets and piazza’s littered with restaurants. Set onto the hillside the old town offers convenience of a short walk to the main town and beaches.

Private steps lead to the entry and open plan living area of approximately 20 sq mtrs. There is a feature log fireplace and kitchen. Internal stairs take you to a long corridor with two bedrooms and a bathroom. Each bedroom is on the right of the corridor while the bathroom is at the far end.

The first bedroom is the larger and around 16 sq mtrs. This would ideally make the main bedroom.

A second smaller bedroom with over 12 sq mtrs of space gives ample room for a double bed and closets.

The bathroom comes with sink, toilet, bidet and shower.

Outside space is provided by a small patio on entry to the property.

Parking is just off the piazza and a two minute walk.

Restaurants close by include home cooking from A’Taverna and the excellent Tarí on piazza de Palma. (The onion ring appetizer is unbelievable)

Within a 5 minute walk you’ll be right in the centre of town and the pedestrian area with lot’s of shops, bars and eateries.

Just across from the main road are Scalea’s beach areas which offer multitude of lido’s, bars and restaurants.
